Osage Gardens wholesale organic greenhouse operation took root in January 1992 by selling tomatoes to local grocery stores and restaurants. Osage Gardens was growing basil as a side project but quickly realized that there was a high demand for fresh basil. This led the farm to specialize in fresh culinary herbs. After 10 years the farm expanded onto a new piece of land located on the Colorado River between New Castle and Silt. We now grow over 22 different varieties of culinary herbs including basil, thyme, rosemary, chives and dill (for a complete list, click here). In 2007, feeling a strong desire to interact more with their local community, we expanded our local offerings. Osage Gardens participates in 7 local farmer's markets, has a year round free choice CSA Program called Fresh Eats and in 2010 opened The Little Red Farm Store in order to sell our vegetables directly from the farm. We continue to distribute our organic herbs and vegetables widely around the state.
